Lindsey was dead. He’d thought sure Lindsey would survive, that he and Lorne would handle their assignment with no problem. But Lindsey didn’t make it to the alley and neither did Lorne. Deep inside, Gunn knew Lorne was still alive. And from that same place in his gut he knew Lindsey was dead. He ached for him, feeling strangely connected after taking Lindsey’s place in that freaky basement in Wolfram & Hart’s holding dimension. Just one more thing the two had in common -- growing up poor, becoming lawyers, fighting evil, sometimes doing evil, and an unexplainable relationship with Angel.
